If you use really hot (I use boiling water) this machine does a great job of cleaning carpets. I do not think it was built for more than the occasional (2-3 times a year) cleaning. This is my second unit and the same problem that I had with the first one has arisen with this unit also. The brushes stop rotating. I am sure it probably happened because when I use the hand wand I did not disengage the brushes. Something I should have probably done. A little better design like brushes automatically disengage when wand is used would prevent this from happening, especially when this was a problem with the previous version. If you need something for the in-between the major steam cleaning by the pro’s, this should fill that need.

First off this book can be enjoyed by anyone, any age. I have read the whole series so far and can’t wait until I can get them all on my kindle. (I live in Canada) The main character Artemis Fowl is 12, rich and most certainly evil. Although as the series progresses he starts to become a bit more human. There is one book where he forgets everything and we’re stuck with the original Artemis before he met Holly… which was very sad. Luckily it didn’t last long. I highly recommend this series I don’t think there is anyone it would not appeal to. This is the first book Enjoy!

I was very disappointed in Targets way of packaging a $350 product. I got the package and felt it rattling all around inside. Granted there is no physical/visual damage. Just saying…its a 350 dollar piece of electronics!

as a professional groomer I find this tool awesome for particular kinds of coats. I dont recommend this for dogs without an undercoat as it will pull out the “hair” on breeds who dont shed excessively and will cause pain to the animal. I also recommended that you do not “force” the hair to come out on undercoats by brushing too hard as it will also pull out the top guard hairs that may not intended to be shed at that time. Simply drag the brush over the coat and the hair will slide out. A good scrubbing in the bath will loosen the rest up. This tool will save you a lot of brushing fatigue and time however it is not to be used as a regular maintenece brush year round. Use it while the dog is blowing their coat out and thats it!

I recently purchased the Kindle Wireless Global 6″ display reading devise as a Birthday/Fathers’ Day gift for my dh who suffers from low vision and macular degeneration. How aggravating it was to watch a person who loved to read have to give up a passion. Prior to his vision problems dh would cruise through over 4/5 books a week. TV was for nap time, sports on occasion or that boring hour in the evening. Through the introduction of Kimble in his life, once again he is able to enjoy a passion he experienced over 60 years of his life.

With reservation I purchased the Kindle in hope of once again watching dh enjoy reading books and daily newspapers. I had high expectations for the Kindle but was prepared to be disappointed! WOW what a wonderful devise for reading.. What a wonderful devise for low visions individuals…he reads book and newspapers again and I cannot tell you what Kindle has done for him. A passion, a love is back in his life and adding to his retirement pleasure. Thank you Kindle for providing happiness to a low vision person that is special to me!

What you will find in this book are outright falsehoods, half-truths and humanistic wisdom masquerading as spiritual wisdom. The devil will love this book for the confusion it will cause in the unevangelized and uncatechized. For example, let’s take this gem of a lie: A girl poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”
His (”God’s”) reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong…” Here you have a clear, understandable contradiction of God’s own word: “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man commits is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18) The Bible calls “living with my boyfriend” fornication, i.e., premarital sex and it is one of the sins that can bar a person from the Kingdom of Heaven. I have owed carpet cleaners for over 10 years and use them in my home. I previously owned Bissell brand machines. Had a total of three. The first one was great, left carpet clean and fairly dry, so when it was time to replace I tried the new Bissells with 12 rows of carpet cleaners and heat….total disapointments. They left the carpet totally wet, leaked dirty water, nightmares…so back to Costco they went.

I decided on the Hoover SteamVac after reading the reviewes here. My experince so far has been that this machine is an over all good household cleaner, but has a couple of drawbacks.

Pros:
1. Great suction – leaves carpets only slightly moist – exactly what I would expect for quick dry times.
2. Separate clean and dirty water containers (easier to gauge need to refill/empty)
3. Hand tool has rotating brushes.
4. “CLEAN SURGE” deposits more cleaning solution.

Cons:
1. No way to stop the suction and have scrubbers do the work.
2. No additional heat added to the solution.
3. Hand tool hose not easily connected.
4. Hand tool hose feels ‘cheap’

re Cons. 1. Previous carpet cleaners I owned had a way to have the brushes continue rotating without suction. This machine uses the power of the suction to turn the brushes, it’s either both, or none. Same for the hand held tool.
2. Other machines add heat to the solution to keep it warm or heat it up. Once your solution is cold on this machine, it is cold on the floor. Not a major draw back but not a pro.
3. Connecting the hand tool hose is not very straight forward. Had to look at the instructions a couple of times before I figured it out. Have to connect to two different spots. Putting it away took looking at the instructions as well.
4. Don’t know how long the tool will last, but it doesn’t feel as high quality as others I have used.

Over all good buy for light to moderate house use. Worth the $$ I paid for it.
