The above is just one example in what I can only describe as a dialogue attribution holocaust. This is not just bad writing, it’s spectacularly inept writing. It is a literary abortion, so foul that it almost HAS to be intentional. If this book had been written as a parody of contemporary literature, it would deserve all of the attention that it has gotten. It would be kind of brilliant.

This book is a complete course on how NOT to write a book. It is stinking landfill of adverbs. It is an affront to literature, an insult to the craft with a thumb-smear of excrement fuming from every page. Someone named Jodi Reamer spent considerable time helping Stephanie get this book in shape before it was submitted to a publisher. I shudder to imagine what this book might have read like before this much-needed editing.

How does one swallow convulsively? How does someone hiss in a sentence with no ’s’ anywhere in their line of dialogue? How do you slam a door with excessive force? As opposed to slamming the door lightly? How do you intercept unfriendly glances from someone if the glances were already meant for you? There are hundreds, maybe thousands of lines throughout this book like this and even far worse.

This book should never have been published.

Ah, but it is so much worse than all of that, isn’t it? After all, it hit the Bestseller List and STAYED there. It has made MILLIONS of dollars. It’s no longer just a poorly plotted and terribly-written book. Now it’s a representation of the decline of literature. It’s a big neon sign announcing our collective failure as a species. This book outsold Water For Elephants, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and other books far superior. It’s possible that it outsold all of them COMBINED. I read a lot of reviews on bands breaking before purchase but haven’t had any problems. It works very well and I am impressed with it’s suction abilities but that may be because my previous vacuum was 15 years old. Really not a bad price for a good vacuum- I feel that I got exactly what I wanted.

I bought this last year when I purchased my Garmin 760 Nuvi. It is a good mount for it on the dash of my truck, except that I added Velcro to the bottom of it because there were times that it slid to easily around on my dashboard. It might be okay in some vehicles as far as being stationary. It just wasn’t in my truck at times. I like it much better than the suction-cup mount that came with my Nuvi though. And it is easy enough to remove from the dash and place elsewhere if I need/want to.
I would recommend this product to others.

This item works as described. All of the functions appear to be quite accurate. To date, we have had no issues.

Starting in February 2010, after less than three months of use, two of these cables have tolerance or continuity problems with the connector on the TV end. If I jiggle the connector and hold it just right, the cables work OK. If I substitute other cables between the same devices, all is well.

Purchased three of these in Nov 2008, tested when new and they seemed to work fine. I put them in a drawer. Started using two of them in December 2009 between identical BluRay players and one LG TV and one Samsung TV. Worked fine for a while. I gave the third cable to a neighbor last week and it is still working for her. Another HDMI cable (Panasonic OEM) connected between a DVD recorder and the Samsung TV has been working fine since December 2008.

I trashed my 40+ year old scale and treated myself to a new one. I read the outstanding reviews and decided to try this scale. I love it. It’s accurate. It was inexpensive. I didn’t want a scale with a lot of bells and whistles – just one that was accurate. If you’re looking for a simple, inexpensive, accurate scale, this is the one.
