BODY LOTION YSL OPIUM deal

I promised some students I would give the “Twilight” series a try this summer, so I borrowed my niece’s copy and gave it a try. While I did enjoy the book, I don’t think I’ll finish the series. I could definitely see adolescent girls love for this book. It is actually a rather chaste love story. Great for girls who need innocent romance and a bit of rebellion. I would have probably been hooked back in the day. Having been to Forks (in the 80’s) it was good to visualize that beautiful area. I’m not big on vampires, although this really didn’t seem like a vampire book. More a version of the white knight rescuing. It is really cool how many different ages of people I have spoken with who love the series. Don’t know if I Netflix the movie or not…

The troll rounded on him, all ten talons sliding out to their full extent. Drops of venom glistened from the tip of each tusk. Playtime was over.

In Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, young prodigy Artemis Fowl II wants gold. And, as a twelve-year-old criminal mastermind, he knows how to get it. In order to retrieve one ton of twenty-four-carat gold, he abducts Captain Holly Short, a fairy of the LEPrecon Unit. Along with his manservant Butler, Artemis encounters a digging-and-entering dwarf, a one hundred and eighty kilogram troll, and a bio-bomb capable of wiping out every single living thing in his entire mansion. Eventually, Artemis comes out with about half the money he originally was hoping for. Artemis Fowl is a perfect fantasy for anyone interested in a good book.

One interesting part of the novel is how it is told from many points of view. Most of the time, you see the world from Holly’s or Artemis’s eyes, them being the main characters. This leaves you wondering who to root for, the police officer or the criminal. However, sometimes the story is even told by more minor characters, such as Butler, who sees most of the action, or Mulch Diggums, a career criminal dwarf the LEP hire to enter Artemis’s mansion.

Another enjoyable part of the book is its believability. For instance, throughout the book, little tidbits about fairies and their history appear, such as the fact that the human word “leprechaun” originally came from LEPrecon, or the Lower Elements Police Recon Unit. This helps make the whole concept of a “fairy” more plausible. Also, in the book, fairies are considerably more technologically advanced than humans. This should only be expected, considering the fact that they can use their magic incorporated in with their inventions. It also brings readers away from the “medieval witchcraft and wizardry” generally associated with this type of fantasy. Finally, the author researched many dangerous weapons and deadly tactics and placed his findings in the

Body Count, David Caruso’s last film, is a surprisingly entertaining, violent thriller, about a bank assault that goes very wrong, throwing the members of the crew into a rollercoaster ride. Although this story has been told million of times by Hollywood, like in Burt Reynolds’ upcoming Pups, Body Count has some particular qualities that make it original, hot and intense. The cast is great, actors like Ving Rhames, Joe Leguizamo and even Donnie Wahlberg deliver their jobs with mastery and talent. Rhames, who was excellent in Don King, is charming and brilliant as the most controlled member of the crew, and even in a small part, his presence is powerful. Leguizamo has in the film the chance to prove that he is in fact an actor with great dramatic potential, is too bad to see him in bad comedies, wasting his capacity. Caruso is a regular actor, he is still waiting for his breakthrough role, and in this movie he can show that he is excellent when he has something good in his hands. Body Count is a violent and terrific movie, if you want to buy it, do it, this film follows the same tradition of memorable cop-dramas, such as Sharky’s Machine, The French Connection and many others!

The Omron Digital pedometer is very helpful as a step counter, however it does seem to count a few more steps than I actually have taken. (It sort of has a hair trigger.) I like the pocket use as I tend to have the pedometers slip off my waistband when I am bending over.

I ordered several of these as I am sure I will have more HDMI products in the future. The price is a steal. I saw a similar cable at CompUSA for $70 and felt pity for the poor fool that paid that.
