The device works well enough, however their customer service is unacceptable by any human standard. I received this for xmas as a gift, but customer support made me email them a receipt as proof of purchase for a map issue, they would not take the units serial number as proof. I had to ask my parents to scan a receipt and email it to me. Once done with that, they said I could re-download my maps, but not for about two days due to post xmas support overload on their servers. So here I sit with an unusable TomTom. Get a garmin, it may be more expensive but at least you can talk to someone to get it fixed.

After another 2 days of multiple calls to customer service, my tomtom still sits broken. There is a reason why these units are so cheap compared to others. TomTom cut huge corners in customer service. avoid.
